“Fuji Shibazakura Festival” is be held from mid April to late May every year using the vast land located on the northern slope of Mt. Fuji. About 800,000 shares of Shibazakura (Moss Phlox) bloom all together, with the beautiful Mt. Fuji in the background. The venue of this festival was previously used as an off-road course. However, Shibazakura is planted there, and it is used as a festival venue in the spring.

Shibazakura at this venue is really beautiful and worth a visit. However, too many tourists come, so the car gets heavily congested from the lake Kawaguchiko to the venue during the period. Since the venue is open from 8 o’clock in the morning, I recommend that you go as early in the morning as possible to avoid being affected by traffic jam.
