Photos: Castles in the sky!

Famous castles in Japan are in the plains. Many of them were built after the end of the warring states period (since 1568). By contrast, some of the castles built during or before the warring states period are located on mountains and hills. Often, those castles are surrounded by thick fog and look like castles in the sky!
