【Gongendo Park】

A well-known cherry blossom viewing spot located in Satte City, Saitama Prefecture, in the Kanto region. For a kilometer stretch, about 1,000 Somei Yoshino cherry trees bloom with beautiful pink flowers, making you feel as if you’re walking through a tunnel of cherry blossoms. What’s truly remarkable about Gongendo is that right beside the cherry blossom embankment, there’s a vast carpet of canola flower fields.

If you go down to the flower field and take a shot of the embankment, you can capture a stunning gradient of the sky’s light blue, the cherry blossoms’ pink, and the canola flowers’ yellow.

It’s about a 30-minute walk from the Tobu Line’s “Satte Station”. While there are buses from the station, it’s been said that during cherry blossom season, traffic jams can result in over an hour’s commute. So, if you’re visiting during the Sakura Festival, it’s safer to walk.
